Government Bans Sales of Fuel In Some Areas of the State to Quell Banditry – ZAMFARA

Due to the recent upsurge record of banditry in the state, Zamfara State Government has banned the sale of petroleum products in the affected areas.

This information is contained in a statement signed in Gusau by Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, the Commissioner of Information.

The Commissioner explained that the measure was to aid the steps being taken by the government in tackling the recent upsurge in the activities of recalcitrant bandits in the State.

He gave the names of the areas affected to include Wanke, Magami, Dansadau, Dangulbi, Dankurmi, Bindin, Munhaye, Kizarah, Kunchin Kalgo and surroundings.

According to the Alhaji Ibrahim, the ban is with immediate effect and will be on till further notice. He urged NUPENG and other associations on petroleum products to advise their members to shun any act capable of sabotaging this government order.

The commissioner futher said that the government had directed security agencies to ensure full compliance and arrest anybody found violating the order.
