Anambra State Commissioner of Police Tasks Operatives to Restore Peace in the Community

Mr Monday Kuryas, Anambra State Commissioner of Police has directed Police officers in the State to protect themselves and resist any form of attack on security personnel and critical infrastructure in any part of the State.

He gave the directive in a lecture held with his management team, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and other heads of tactical operational units of the command.

He went further to charge the Officers not to be discouraged by the recent attacks on their colleagues and facility but instead remain determined in the protection of lives and property of law abiding citizens in the State.

Mr Kuryas also urged the officers to ensure they provide motivational leadership in their Divisions and Units and ensure proper supervision of their men in reclaiming the public space from criminal elements and maintaining law and order in and around the State.

He reassured citizens and residents of the renewed commitment of the Police to providing policing services in accordance with best practices and in line with the rule of law.

In attendance at the conference was the Management Team of the Command, Eight Area Commanders, fifty-four Divisional Police Officers, Police Mobile Force Commander in Anambra State and Heads of Police Tactical Units.
