Panelists include Bukola Oloyede (Sony Nigeria Country Manager), Chris Odeh (Sozo Films Senior Producer), and Kayode Kasum (Filmtrybe Founder).

The pitching session, a vital part of the biennial conference, will help identify film and content development ideas from aspiring film professionals. After the conference, we will support and develop these selected concepts into full film projects.

The goal is to give wings to aspiring professionals in the film and content creation business. Event focuses on students and future pros in film prod., critiquing, directing, financing, marketing, and content creation.

Next Gen Evolve on October 26, 2023, at The Marriot Hotel, Ikeja. Organized by Blue Pictures and Nigerian Int’l Film & TV Summit.

On what to expect from the event, the convener of the initiative and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Pictures, Joy Efe Odiete, said, “The essence of the conference is to provide a platform for the youths to interact with personalities that have the wherewithal to sharpen their careers in the film business. I drew inspiration from my own industry entry, where I lacked a mentor. Thus, I created this conference to provide essential support for newcomers to smoothly integrate into the industry. We hold it every two years for proper preparation of successful pitches before starting a new group

Speakers at the event: Adedayo Thomas (CEO, National Film and Video Censors Board), Uche Nwuka (Director, Bank of Industry), Patrick Donald Lee (Executive, Viva Cinemas), Mary Ephraim (President, Homelands Films), and Tochukwu ‘Dr Foy’ MacFoy (Founder, Energize Music).
