For the general well being and advancement in every society , the role of law and order must be upheld and instituted. Such processes, are put in place to effectively establish a system of checks and balances, giving the community, a framework to always refer to, when the need arises.

The Nigerian correctional facility has been in the news for many positives, in the past week. Firstly it was made known to the public that they have social blueprints in place to assist the general correctional rates for prisoners , then secondly the fact that prisoners are now taking tech courses while they are doing their time , which is refreshing.

Another report coming in , has claimed that a prison inmate , Okike Chinyere , has won a prize for being the best graduating student , from National Open University (NOUN) , in the department of Peace and Conflict resolution. Ms. Okike , bagged the degree with a second class upper Honour’s while another inmate , Alegbe Afolabi, got a Masters degree in the same course.
