Ekiti State House of Assembly has as of now suspended 7 of it’s members who have been accused of “illegally” impeaching the speaker of the house.
It was reported earlier this morning that some 7 members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly “broke” into the Assembly Complex at some minutes past 6am to impeach the Speaker, Rt. Hon Gboyega Aribisogan.
A team of policemen who were said to have been led by CP- Morenikeji Adesina barricaded the entire complex as the members carried out the impeachment process
The names of the 7 lawmakers who were suspended include: Hon. Jamiu Hakim, Hon. Aribasoye Adeoye, Hon. Bode Adeoye, Hon. Lateef Akanle, Hon. Lucas Toyin, Hon. Deji Ajayi, Hon. Demola Ojo.
