The Former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima who happens to be the running mate of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, celebrates his birthday today. Many politicians as well wishes have taken to various platforms to felicitate Shettima. This particular birthday happens to be the 56th he is celebrating.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu was no different in sending wishes and felicitating with his running mates. He expressed his delight in Shettima and commended his efforts in times past. According to the APC presidential candidate, the former Borno state government is a committed leader who led the people in Borno with so much courage and resilience.
He expressed delight in the fact that Shettima was not overwhelmed by the Boko Haram challenge in the state while he served as the state governor. Tinubu added that his running mate showed a good form of leadership by fighting for his people.
“Senator Shettima is an extraordinary leader forged in the theater of challenges. He led a heroic struggle against the forces of terrorism with intellect, courage, and tenacity. He gave succor to the victims while mobilizing the civilians to support our military”.

In addition, he stated his excitement about running for the presidential seat with Kashim Shettima and also wished him well as they go on in service. “I wish Senator Shettima many more years, robust health, and more wisdom as he forges ahead in the service of our country.”
The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also asserted that Senator Shettima is a good running mate for Tinubu.
“His penchant for diligence and contributions toward the development of Nigeria’s socio-economic and political landscape based on his service to the nation in different capacities in the past without any iota of doubt made him the right choice as the APC vice presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential poll.”
Other well-wishers who have sent their wishes to Shettima are APC Senatorial candidates for Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila amongst others.
