The Nigerian Immigration Service has a new Comptroller General. The Deputy Comptroller general in charge of Finance and Account, Idris Isah will act was the Comptroller General pending the appointment of a substantive Comptroller General by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The acting CG took over from the previous Comptroller General, Muhammadu Babandede following his retirement announcement on Friday. He spent five years as the Comptroller General and thirty-six years in service. At a valedictory session held on Friday for him, Babandede said that he was happy to leave the Immigration service better than he found it.
