In a bid to strengthen the security architecture in the state, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State has called for collaboration from the Nigerian Navy.

This was made known by David Bille, the NSCDC State Commandant on Tuesday, when he hosted the newly appointed Commanding Officer Naval Outpost Onitsha (NOPO), Captain Innocent Pius Udoudoh.

According to the State Commandant, the collaboration was principally pragmatic in confronting the danger of illegal oil bunkering, oil dealings, and pipeline vandalism in Onitsha and other parts of the state.

Bille while commending the Commanding Officer for the visit, assured him of both his support and a cordial working relationship throughout his stay in the state.

On his part, Capt. Udoudoh emphasized on the need for stronger synergy among security agencies in Anambra state. This is given the fact that it became important for both bodies to work in tandem in order to ensure that the already existing relationship with other security agencies is strengthened; for effective results.
