Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation begin Agricultutral Empowerment Programme for Women in Anambra

In order to impact the society, the Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation has commenced a three Month Agricultural Empowerment Programme for Rural women.

Over hundreds of women have been attracted by this event which is taking place at Saint Martin’s Catholic Church Ihiala.

All the women who participle in this event  would be trained the women will be trained on how to improve on their farming system for improved yield and profit making in Agriculture.

The event was declared open by  the Parish Priest of Saint Martin’s Catholic Church Ihiala represented by Reverend Father Christian Enemchukwu. He shared with the congregation the  importance of Agriculture in the development of any nation.

Anambra State Commissioner for Agriculture Mr Nnamdi Onukwuba represented by the Head, Women in Agriculture, Anambra State Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs Patricia Uba stated  while addressing the people said that women and youth empowerment remains of utmost importance to the Obiano administration.

The Commissioner also commended the Founder, Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation for organizing such an impactful event and promised that the ministry is ready to give the support necessary for the success of the program.

The evenyt ws described by  the Transition Committee Chairman for Ihiala Local Government Area, Mr Chukwudi Obiewulu who was represented by his wife Uche as the climax of all empowerments and encouraged all the women to not just attend but to also put into practice what they will be taught during the training.
