The loyal member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Former organizing secretary in Mangu Ward 1, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nehemiah Goholshak, has been allegedly shot dead by gunmen.
InlandTown media learned that the gunmen at about 7:00 pm on Sunday attacked the residence of the man at Dangper village in the council area and shot him before his family before they fled.
The deceased’s uncle, Mr. Timothy Goholshak, who confirmed the unfortunate incident, said Nehemiah Goholshak died on the spot while the unfortunate incident caused tension and apprehension within the locality.
A source said that an unidentified corps was also found on the same day along Mangu-Bokkos road close to the community where the former PDP official was killed.
He said, “We are just coming back from a sympathy visit to the family house of Nehemiah Goholshak, a 30-year-old man who was shot dead by gunmen on August 27, 2022.

“He was a former PDP organizing secretary in Mangu-Ward, Mangu LGA, Nehemiah was at his house in Dangper village when some gunmen came and shot him dead around 7 pm.
“His Uncle Mr. Timothy Goholshak confirmed that he died instantly. So, he was buried yesterday (Sunday) and the community has been in mourning since then.
“I’m particularly not happy because two years ago, Nehemiah’s elder brother was also shot and killed in the same house and spot by gunmen who attacked him
“What is happening in that axis is rather unfortunate because that same day that Nehemiah was killed, another corps was found around Mangu Bokkos Road very close to the Danger village. It was the security men that came and took the corps to mortuary”
All attempts to reach the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Alfred Alubo, on the phone to confirm the incident proved abortive.
