The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo visited the Nnewi South Local Government headquarters in Ukpor following the arson attack that happened on Thursday morning.
The Governor visited the headquarters alongside the state Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng, and other heads of security agencies. He described the attack as mindless and very unfortunate. He also added that buildings within the local government, including the education office, works department, and the traditional ruler’s building were all torched.

Governor Soludo called on the security agencies in the state to go after the criminals and bring them to justice, stating that these acts of criminalities and lawlessness will not be allowed to continue in the state.
