Forum Holds For Onitsha South APGA Women Ahead Of 2021 Election

The female members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, Onitsha South Local Government area have been advised to unite and work together for the greater good of the party.

This was made known at the one-day forum that was organized for Onitsha South Local Government area APGA Woman Leaders and their Deputies, which held at the GRA Onitsha.

The meeting, organized by Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu- Nkemdiche, the member representing Onitsha South Two Constituency at the Anambra State Assembly was co-hosted by Honourable Uzoma Eli, the member representing Onitsha South One constituency.

The focal point of the meeting was geared towards brainstorming on how continuity can be achieved in order to ensure APGA remains the ruling party in Anambra state. She lauded Governor Willie Obiano for his developmental works pertinent among is the Anambra Cargo Airport at Umuleri; the recent presentation of cars to the state traditional rulers. She also commended all the wards in Onitsha for their immense steadfastness and support to APGA, urging them not to relent.

Conversely, Honourable Eli who spoke at the forum urged the women to embrace the APGA spirit of “onye-aghana-nwanneya”. He also described Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche as a good mentor who has been a sister to him.  On his part, Mr Ikechukwu Mofus-Ezeoba, The APGA Chairman Onitsha South while thanking the two state Lawmakers, admonished the women to prepare for the forthcoming election in the state.

In their comments, the Woman Leader of APGA Onitsha South LGA, Mrs.
Ifeyinwa Umeugokwe and the secretary, Mrs Ijeoma Okafor acknowledged the Lawmakers for their noble works in Onitsha South and for giving voice to the voiceless. They also promised their backing to APGA.
At the end of the forum, items were distributed to all the women while chanting songs.
