Ex Pension Boss Addulrasheed Maina Sentenced to Eight Years Imprisonment

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday sentenced the former Chairperson of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, to eight years imprisonment involving money laundering activities in the N2billion pension fund.

Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina and his company, Common Input Property and Investment Ltd, were convicted by the Federal High Court Judge Okon Abang of all eleven counts of charges by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina was sentenced to serve three years on one count, five years on count two, eight years on count four, two years on count five, five years on count six and eight years on count seven, three years in jail for count eight, five years on count nine, eight years on count, ten, three years on eleven and three years on twelve.
