All elections into positions in the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) still remain suspended owing to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic which has altered the status quo in the state and world in general.

This reiteration came off a statement issued by Hon. Greg I. Obi, the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Community Affairs, sent to the National President of ASATU, Chief Alex Onukwuo.

According to the statement, other elections suspended include Igweship, Town Union government, ASATU National election, and ASATU Youth wing election.

Hon. Obi advised the people to act accordingly as they will be notified in due time when the ban on the election is lifted.
