A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday adjourned the trial of a singer, Azeez Fashola, a.k.a Naira Marley till February 16, 2021, or 78 days.
Justice Nicholas Oweibo fixed a new date for the trial because Mr Augustine Anosike who is a witness to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was absent. Anosike, a forensic analyst, is testifying as a second prosecution witness in the case.

Recall that Naira Marley is standing trial for an alleged cybercrime for which he was arrested by the EFCC on May 14, 2019. The “Am I a Yahoo Boy” crooner is standing trial on an 11-count charge bothering on the offence.
It was alleged by b the EFCC that some of the credit cards in Naira Marley’s possession bore the fictitious names Nicole Louise Malyon and Timea Fedorne Tatar which the commission alleged were used in furtherance of internet fraud.
The trial has since commenced in the case and Anosike, who concluded his examination in chief on October 27, was scheduled for cross-examination.
