Anambra State Govt Extends 2019/2020 Academic Session By Two Weeks

The third term 2019/2020 academic session has been extended by the Anambra State Ministry of Basic Education by two weeks, in order to complete both NECO and other National examinations within the third term session .

The third term will now end in November 12th instead of October 23rd, 2020.

According to a release signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Basic Education Mr. Nwabueze Nwankwo on behalf of the commissioner,Professor Kate Omenugha, the details of 2020/2021 academic calendar would be released soon.

Furthermore,  schools at flood affected areas are to proceed on recess from 5th October 2020 till the situation improves.

The stament urged  affected students and pupils to make effective use of the teaching on-Air programme as Radio sets will be distributedto those affected areas for optimal use.

In addition, the affected schools that have students involved in the NECO examination have been assigned to various unaffected schools for the examination.
