Anambra Trade Commissioner Express Satisfaction With Pace, Quality Of Work At Umunze Ultra-Modern Market

Following his inspection of the ongoing Ultra-modern market, Mr. Uche Okafor, Anambra State Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Wealth Creation has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done at the site which is situated at Umunze in Orumba South Local government area.
It will be recalled that a Memorandum of Understanding for the construction of the Market was signed between the Anambra State government and Chief Ben Oranusi of Bills limited in 2018; of which the developer began work in 2019 and the completion rate stands at 50 percent.
Features of the market include a dual carriage road, an abattoir, feeder roads, ICT center, lock up shops, produce market among others.

Mr. Okafor who spoke after the inspecting the pace of work at the market where the produce axis has been completed, extolledĀ Governor Obiano for providing an enabling environment for improved business dealings in the State.
He alsoĀ applauded the developer Chief Oranusi for coming home to invest for the good of his people, urging others to emulate him.

On his part, the developer, Chief Oranusi, expressed gratitude to Governor Obiano for giving him the opportunity to render services to his people. In addition, he urged Ndi Anambra to always bring their investments home.

Furthermore, he implored the State government to initiate the produce aspect of the Market and declare it open for business transaction while he continues work on other parts of the Market.

Those who accompanied the Commissioner on the visit were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr Daniel Okoli, Director of Market Mr Frank Maduka, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry Comrade Stanley Onunkwo, while the President General of Umunze Mr John Akanyeonu and others were present during the visit.
