The State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, following their reinstatement by the Court of Appeal last Monday, has resumed office.
The committee Led by Mr. Ndubuisi Nwobu, was dissolved by the national leadership of the party, following a court judgment in a suit instituted by Samuel Anyakorah, which challenged the leadership replaced by Chukwudi Umeaba, whose faction recognised Senator Uba as the factional PDP candidate for November 6, 2021 election.
Guardian that the outcome has therefore validated the candidature of Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, who emerged from a parallel primary election conducted by the party and supported by the Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee. Speaking at a media briefing to announce the return of his executive at the PDP secretariat in Awka, the state capital, yesterday, Nwobu revealed that the Appeal Court judgment had totally brought to an end the issues about who is the authentic candidate of the party.
