The Anambra State government has reiterated its resolve to improve the facilities in all General hospitals across the state through the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency.

This was made known by Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke during the inauguration of an ultrasound machine and a solar energy system acquired for Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital by the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency.

Dr. Okeke who expressed his happiness that the Agency is serving the purpose for which it was established, called for more support for the Agency so as to enable it to do more in the Health sector.

In addition, he guaranteed that the present government will keep consolidating the Health sector for enhanced healthcare services across the Anambra state.

On his part, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, the Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency assured that the gesture will be replicated in other General hospitals in the state. This is given the fact that the agency was established to ensure healthy living and also solve the problem of healthcare financing in the state.

Dr. William Onwuocha, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital who was present at the event acknowledged the State Government and the Agency for the kind gesture advanced. He stated that the equipment will improve the quality of their services while asking for more assistance in other pressing needs of the hospital.

Also, present on the occasion was Dr. Vincent Okpala, the State Commissioner for Health.
