Abuja – Kaduna Train Services Suspended by NRC Following Attack

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) have temporarily suspended train services on the Abuja – Kaduna route.

This comes after the terrorist attack on a Kaduna-bound train on Monday night. The NRC announced this via their website, adding that the suspension was due to unforeseen circumstances.

The statement reads,

“Dear passengers, due to unforeseen circumstances, Train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route has been temporarily suspended. Further Communication would be given in due course.”

According to reports, the train was attacked between Katari and Rijana in Kaduna. The terrorists apparently used explosives to halt the train and shot sporadically, trying to gain access to the train. They were repelled by members of the Nigerian military eventually.
