The General Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has declared that only God will determine the next president of the country, come 2023.

The cleric noted that everything is in God’s hands concerning the change of power next year.

Kumuyi made the declaration on Wednesday at the palace of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo, during a courtesy visit to the monarch.

The visit was part of the church’s activities to herald its six-day crusade tagged, “Global Crusade with Kumuyi”, scheduled to hold in the town.

He said, “About next year elections, everything is in the hands of God. I want to tell you, no pin drops anywhere in the world without God’s knowledge and nobody goes ahead without God’s control. He controls everything that happens in the world.

“Will there be elections next year? Will there not be elections? Who will emerge as President of our country? Who will come out as governor of each of the states? These questions are known unto God before the beginning of time, as well as answers to the problem of contentious people in our land. What He wants will come through. When a lion is coming no rat stands in his way.

“When the Almighty says this is what it is for Nigeria in particular, for 2023 in particular, no elephant of a man can stand in His way. The will of God will be done and we will all rejoice.”

On the programme, Kumuyi gave reasons why the church chose Ondo for the crusade stating that God Himself chose the venue.

“At this time we are choosing Ondo city because God has led us to do so. He, God, chose Ondo for the Global Crusade with Kumuyi,” the cleric stated.

Osemawe said the crusade would benefit the town and the state in general.

Earlier, the state governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, had hosted the pastor and his team in Akure, where he commended Kumuyi for his passion for preaching the gospel, saying his visit to the state would usher in good tidings.

Akeredolu lauded Kumuyi’s prowess as a former lecturer and accepted the invitation to be at the crusade with some of his cabinet members.
