The Anambra Police command has reassured its citizens of their commitment to the provision of security through crime prevention and detection.
This commitment was made by the Commissioner of Police in the State; John Abang He described the security in Anambra as remarkable compared to other States in Nigeria.
This information was revealed by Abang while speaking with journalists shortly after parading 14 suspects who were arrested by men of the force in different parts of Onitsha for armed robbery and illegal revenue collection.
According to the Police Commissioner, the tragic events of last year, including the #EndSARS agitations, which consumed lives of some men of the force, had posed serious security challenge but were eliminated through professionalism and courage.
The Police Chief while assuring of more robust service in 2021, stated that the status of Anambra State as the most peaceful in Nigeria would be maintained at all costs.
Furthermore, he warned criminal elements who intend to commit crime of any sort in the state, to desist as the command is battle-ready to deal with anyone of such character who disobeys the law.
