A devastating fire engulfed the renowned Soprom Hotel in Onitsha, Anambra State in the early hours of Monday.
The inferno ravaged the establishment, resulting in the destruction of valuable property worth millions of naira.
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the occurrence to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Onitsha, according to reports.
The exact cause of the fire remains unconfirmed. However, the blaze inflicted extensive damage on the two-story building, resulting in millions of dollars worth of property loss.
Fortunately, there were no casualties reported from the incident.
