Right Honourable Uche Okafor, the Speaker; Anambra State House of Assembly has heaped praises on Governor Willie Obiano for his continued show of genuine respect for the traditional institution in the state.
He made this commendation while addressing newsmen in his office in Awka. Hon Okafor upheld the notion that the governor’s gifting of SUV vehicles to the traditional rulers in the state shows that Governor Willie Obiano acknowledges the role of the traditional rulers in maintain peace and stability in their different communities.
Furthermore, Hon. Okafor also lauded His Majesty Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe (Obi of Onitsha) for his immense contribution towards the development of the state. Thus, he bade other traditional rulers to continue to give their utmost support to Governor Obiano in order to ensure he sustains his good governance.
In terms of the peaceful atmosphere witnessed in all the communities in the State, Hon. Okafor who expressed his satisfaction attributed it to the dogged efforts of Governor Obiano in achieving maximum peace and security for Ndi Anambra.
On the whole, he applauded Governor Obiano for all his developmental advances in the State as well as his deep commitment to the welfare of the people.
