Agbogidi steps into the NIIA auditorium (V/I Lagos) majestically with Henry Onukwuba

To mark his 50th birthday, Henry Onukwuba Director, Executive Education at Lagos Business School (LBS) launched his new book ‘Zik, Testimonies of a Great African’ to an audience of distinguished guests on the 10th of May, 2016. In his speech, while presenting the book to the public, the Obi of Onitsha commended the editor for keeping the name of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe alive, noting that he had published the first edition of the book ten years ago and had restored the statue of Zik at the Inosi Onira Roundabout nine years ago.

The event was filled to capacity with a heavy presence of Agbalanze Onitsha and professional Ladies of Onitsha (Ikporo Onicha) based in Lagos. The guest speaker was Dara Mabazulike Amechi,  Nigeria’s first indigenous Minister of Aviation while the Guest of Honour was Ambassador Ayo Emeka Azikiwe son of Late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe delivered a speech at the event. General Yakubu Gowon was the Chairman of the event while Obi Alfred Achebe /Agbogidi was the Father of the Day, Chief Host, as well as the Presenter of the book.

HENRY ONUKWUBA : THE BIO…

Henry Onukwuba is the Director, Executive Education at Lagos Business School (LBS), Lagos Business School since January 2015. He joined the institution in June 2008 as Deputy Director Alumni Relations and became Director of Alumni Relations in November of that year. He was also MBA Director of the School from November 2010 to April 2011.

As Director of Executive Education, Henry is responsible for the management of a wide range of open enrollment executive programmes and seminars of the School, and ensuring that the programmes’ contents and delivery are of the world-class standard that the School is renowned for.

Before joining Lagos Business School, Henry was Managing Director of Hebon Consult, a human resource consulting and training organisation he founded in 2006. He was also Chief Executive of Consolidated Business Services Limited, CBSSL, a human resource outsourcing company; and Group Head, Corporate Resources and Communication, Finacorp Building Society Limited.

Henry holds an Executive MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School and an Advanced Management Programme (AMP) certificate from the world leading IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona. He has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Political Science from the University of Jos, Nigeria where he won the Best Graduating Student Prize; a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, both from the University of Lagos.

Henry was the Distinguished Alumni Lecture Guest Speaker at his alma mater, the University of Jos, Nigeria in 2011. He has been a speaker at international conferences across the African continent.
