Sahara Reporters reported that EFCC arrested Bobrisky in Lagos on April 3, 2024.
EFCC reported 31-year-old Bobrisky’s arrest for flaunting money at film premiere on March 24, 2024.
“Investigation also revealed that he had also committed the alleged offence at some other event centres and parties at different times. Following the invitation by the Commission, he arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024, for interrogation and volunteered his statements,” the statement read in part.
The agency has since received backlash for arresting the socialite for spraying money, as many Nigerians spray money at event. One user said, “My question here is, is HE the only person who has sprayed naira in events, Let get a clearer version of his arrest instead of this spraying naira version of it.”
