“We must understand the origin of the genre,” he posited.
Yinka Adebayo, the Executive Director of Media Reach, also stated in an exclusive interview with Netng, that this year’s Headies presents Africans with a platform to display their rich culture to the world.
“Nigeria is leading the way, but we need to carry other African countries along, and this gives us the opportunity to showcase that beyond music, there is more to Africa,” he told Netng.
As the Headies makes its grand entrance in Atlanta, Georgia, this September, featuring electrifying performances from prominent Nigerian artists such as Asake, Seyi Vibez, Rema, Ayra Starr, Wande Coal, and many more, the primary objective of the evening is to honor the African Renaissance through our unique fashion and melodious music.
