Omah Lay Unveils Exclusive Track At Packed Paris Concert

Nigerian music star Omah Lay teases unreleased single.

Stanley Omah Didia, known professionally as Omah Lay, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He gained widespread recognition in early 2020 after his self-produced single, “Bad Influence”, went viral on social media.

In October, Lay appeared on Olamide’s album Carpe Diem-, on the track “Infinity”, which topped the Apple Music charts for Nigeria.

On 20 November, Lay released his second five-track EP, What Have We Done. All five tracks reached the top 12 of the Apple Music charts for Nigeria, with “Godly” reaching number one.

On July 3, 2020, Apple highlighted Lay as the first artist for its Africa Rising Campaign, spotlighting African talent. In December 2020, BBC Radio 1Xtra included him in their annual “Hot for 2021” list.. He made history on Audiomack, featured in Montreux Jazz Festival’s “20 to Watch”, and named BET’s Artist of the Month. Nominated in four categories, he won Next Rated at the 2020 Headies.

On June 25, 2021, Lay featured with Alpha P on the official remix of Justin Bieber’s “Peaches,” produced by Masterkraft. Then, on July 8, 2021, Lay released a new single, “Understand.” Finally, on March 3, 2022, he dropped another collaboration with Bieber, “Attention,” their second project together.

After the deluxe release of his debut album ‘Boy Alone’, Omah Lay has been delighting fans worldwide during his global tour.

Omah Lay drew from personal pain for his debut album, finding a brighter place for the deluxe version.

Omah Lay brought out 1da Banton in Paris, who performed his hit ‘No Wahala’ to the crowd.

With the new single he previewed at his Paris concert, Omah Lay is set to close out 2023 on a high note.
