We Will Assist Information Ministry To Achieve Its Mandate – Mr Okoye

Mr Okechukwu Okoye, the Chairman Committee on Information, has promised his committee’s willingness to aid the Information Ministry to accomplish its plans.

 

During the familiarization visit to the ministry, he said that they will assist in appropriation of funds, legislative functions to raise capacities and equipment, and also praised the commissioner for his good deeds and team spirit that he has created among workforce and agencies of Government under the ministry.

Mr Okoye who is also member representing Aguata II Constituency described the familiarization visit as a means to accomplish their responsibilities and collaboration with the Ministry in handling issues in sustaining social harmony in the state.

 

Mr Adinuba in his reply, said that publicity of Government activities is the primary responsibility of the Ministry, that the Ministry is firmly on and also handling crisis by means of showcasing people’s work in all areas, including agriculture. He talked about the need for constant training of Information officers to enable competent delivery on its obligation because capacity-building is the only challenge the Ministry is facing and it is the area of information flow.

 

Member representing Nnewi South II Constituency, Mr Nonso Okafor, member representing Onitsha South II Constituency, Mr Uzoma Eli, and member representing Orumba South Constituency, Mr Emma Nwafor were involved in the familiarization visit.
