The authorities of the University of Lagos have approved and announced January 25 as the resumption date for academic activities.
Mrs Olufadeke Akinleye, the Head of the Media Unit of the university, announced that due to the second wave of COVID-19, the institution would begin its online classes on the set date.
In a copy of the revised academic calendar for the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic session obtained by a correspondent of punch newspaper on Wednesday, lectures would end on the 5th of March and the first Semester examination would begin on March 15 and end on the 1st of April.
While students are expected to resume for the second semester on April 12, the first-semester result would be considered by the University Senate on April 28.
The University also announced that the 2019 convocation which was expected to hold March last year has been rescheduled to February 23 – 25, 2021.
