Igbo people are conceived as a group of people whose desire to succeed at all levels knows no bounds. They have set the pace for people to emulate in as much as acquiring wealth is concerned. It is for this reason that Reno Omokri tweeted that anyone interested in becoming wealthy must under study the Igbo’s.
Reno who once served as Presidential Spokesperson during the Goodluck Jonathan regime emphasised on how the Igbo’s despite been destroyed by the Nigerian Civil war and given a paltry sum of £20 still struggled to come out tops through entrepreneuship.
Excerpts of his tweet: Study the Igbo people of Nigeria if you want to be wealthy. They were destroyed by Nigeria’s Civil War, with EVERY Igbo family reduced to £20. Now, they are the richest people per capita in Africa. How did they do it? Entrepreneurship. Igbo Amaka!
I said study the Igbo if you want to be wealthy. Someone said ‘study illiterates?’ Many are illiterate in education, yet, literate in money. You mock them. Go to their businesses, they have your educational superiors working for them. Igbo Amaka!”
