HOW TO CURE HEART BURN
Heart Burn is a symptom of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) which is caused by acid refluxing back into the esophagus. Some of the risk factors include those that increase the production of acid in the stomach, as well as structural problems that allow acid reflux into the esophagus. It is characterized by an uncomfortable burning sensation right behind the breastbone that often times creeps up the throat, and is a symptom more so than a disease.
There a some foods and drinks that when taken in commonly cause heartburn. It stimulate increased stomach acid secretion setting the stage for heartburn. Over- the-counter medications also may precipitate heartburn. Examples of these irritants include: alcohol, caffeine, aspirin(Bayer, etc), Ibuprofen, carbonated beverages, acidic juices, acidic foods, chocolate, etc

Lifestyle changes
- Eat smaller, more frequent meals
- Avoid eating before bedtime
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and caffeine
- Stop smoking
- Elevate the head of the bed (or use two or three pillows) to allow gravity to keep acid in the stomach and avoid acid reflux.
- Soothe your stomach with aloe juice
- Chew a piece of sugar free gum after a meal
- DO NOT lie down within 3-4 hours after eating
- Take gingerroot tea
- Avoid tight fitting clothes
