Astroworld Tragedy

Following the Astroworld Festival Tragedy that occurred on Friday November 5 which claimed the lives of eight people and left many others injured, a lawsuit has been filed against Travis Scott, Live Nation (the organizers of the festival), the promotors and others involved in the festival.

An attendee, Manuel Souza, who was badly injured, filed the lawsuit. Represented by law firm Kherkher Garcia, part of the suit read, “Defendants failed to properly plan and conduct the concert in a safe manner.”

“Instead, they consciously ignored the extreme risks of harm to concertgoers, and in some cases actively encouraged the fomented dangerous behaviors. Their gross negligence caused Plaintiff serious injuries.” From the lawsuit, Souza is asking for above $1,000,000 monetary relief.

On social media, lots of users have become furious over a leaked video which captured some concertgoers asking Travis Scott to discontinue with his performance as people were being taken away by the ambulance but he refused. In a now deleted Instagram story posted by his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, the video captured an ambulance in the center of a large crowd as the concert was in progress.
