Former Governor of Lagos State and a 2023 Presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.
The visit was to commiserate with the state and it’s people over the recent train attack by terrorists. The presidential hopeful also pledged a N50m donation to victims of the unfortunate incident.
Mr Tinubu was accompanied by the former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima and was received by Governor El-Rufai and Senators Uba Sani and Suleiman Abdu-Kwari.
He described the attack as a national disaster, adding that the killings by these terrorists was not acceptable. According to him, everybody should be concerned about the attacks going on in Kaduna state which have claimed hundreds of lives and properties in recent times.
He also appealed to Nigerians to support the Kaduna state government in addressing the crisis created by the attacks. Governor El-Rufai also thanked Tinubu for showing solidarity with the people of Kaduna State by canceling his 70th birthday colloquium in honor of the victims of the Train attack.
