Tinubu Clarifies Statement on Permanent Voter Cards (PVC).

Former National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has clarified a statement attributed to him on Permanent Voter Cards (PVC).

In a statement made yesterday by his Media Adviser, Tinubu said: “Immediately upon being apprised of this, Asiwaju apologized for the incorrect statement and felt sorry for any confusion it may have caused.

“Tinubu also stressed that he appreciates the patriotic and necessary work of INEC and its personnel in assuring a free and fair electoral process for all Nigerians in all political parties.

While granting audience to a delegation of women from across the country attending the APC Women Conference last night, he urged them to check the status of their voter cards and mobilize supporters to vote, but he used the word ‘expire’ instead of stating that the cards may have to be updated.
