Think Nigeria, Invest In Anambra Lecture On 3rd Of October

Amidst the recession currently hitting the Nigerian economy, Anambra State created twenty five years ago, is set to celebrate her anniversary. This anniversary also celebrates the progressive economic strides of the state in recent months. In the words of the state Governor, his Excellency Chief Willie Obiano, ” Agu nwelu nchekwube adighi egbu egbu” meaning that a hunger that has hope does not kill.
The organisers of the anniversary celebration have also launched slogans extolling the character and virtues of Anambra citizens. ‘I Am Anambra,”Proudly Onye Anambra’ and others are some of the catchy slogans that are part of the 3 month long campaign.

This is very hopeful in every sense, to keep the economy of the state alive, Anambra State Government starts the second phase of the 25th Anniversary Celebration on October 3rd having His Royal Majesty Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe (Agbogidi) Obi Of Onitsha as a keynote speaker to deliver a lecture titled ” Think Nigeria, Invest In Anambra- Aku Luo Uno” .
Anambra State Deputy Governor Dr. Nkem Okeke who is the Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that the Lecture is designed to woo the Anambra citizens, and that of South East geopolitical zone to invest in Anambra, following the economic blueprint of Governor Willie Obiano’s adminstration, that will support indigenous investors to take advantage of the tremendous investment openings in oil and gas, agriculture, industry, trade and commerce making Anambra State Investment Hub.
In 2015 Gov. Willie Obiano Established Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), to facilitate and structure business partnerships between private investors and Anambra State, indigenous investorsĀ  who have benefited from this arrangement include, Coscharis Farms limited, promoted by Dr. Cosmas Maduka, with investment of $120 million, Falcon Corporation Limited, which invested $100million, Joseph Agro Limited ($150million), Cardinal Developers ($98million) and Richbon Nigeria Limited, with investment of $70million among others.

The “Think Nigeria, Invest In Anambra (Aku Luo Uno)Ā  Lecture holding on the 3rd of October to be delivered by the erudite Obi of Onitsha HRM Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe (Agbogidi) will fundamentally educate,solicit, campaign for ā€œthink home investmentsā€Ā  and kick-off the second phase of the anniversary celebration that started on August 26. Coordinator of the Anambra at 25 events, Chief Emeka Okonkwo, said the lecture is fashioned to draw attention to the ā€œrich tourism potentials of Anambra state, especially in this period of economic difficulty which calls for diversification and creativity in the revenue drive of the state.ā€ Okonkwo also disclosed that the anniversary celebration is at no cost to the state government as sponsorship cost is borne by private individuals and corporate bodies, who are using the opportunity of the historic event to identify with Anambra state and Her People, Culture, Enviroment, Entertainment, Food, Fashion, Hospitality, Education and Business Etc.
