Ten Bandits Killed in Kaduna After Security Operatives Raid Hideouts

Ten bandits have been killed in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State after a joint gun battle with security operatives. “Ten armed bandits hibernating around some flashpoints in Kaduna State were killed by security operatives.” The commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home affairs, Samuel Aruwan said.

The commissioner disclosed that the joint security operatives encountered the heavily armed bandits in Kwanan Bataru, the outskirts of Fatika in Giwa LGA and engaged them in a gun battle which led to the death of ten bandits, others seriously injured and, the razing of one of their hideout camps. A kidnap victim, Abubakar Usman was also rescued by the troops.

Items recovered from the bandits include several motorcycles, one revolver, mobile phones, torchlights, and charms. The Kaduna also appealed to residents of the Fatika community to report to security agencies, anyone they found seeking medical attention for questioning.
