Their triumph stands as a powerful testament to resilience, excellence and the unyielding Nigerian spirit. With remarkable skill, unity, discipline and outstanding performances, the Super Falcons have once again etched Nigeria’s name in gold on the continental stage, bringing immense pride to the nation.
In a statement on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the entire Federal Government, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, praised the players, coaches and technical crew for their courage and commitment. He noted that the team’s victory has inspired a new generation of Nigerians and underscored the power of sports as a unifying force.
The Tinubu administration reaffirmed its dedication to sustained investment in sports development and support for athletes to enable them to thrive and continue inspiring the nation.
The triumphant team is scheduled to arrive in Abuja this afternoon. Nigerians have been encouraged to join in cheering the champions during their procession from the Abuja City Gate through Eagle Square to the Presidential Villa, where they will be officially received.
