Nigerian footballers Victor Boniface, Frank Onyeka, and Wilfred Ndidi are set to launch “The Culture League”, a new weekly talk show that brings together football, music, fashion, and film in one vibrant space.
Premiering on July 11, 2025, “The Culture League” will feature unfiltered conversations between top Nigerian footballers and some of the country’s most exciting voices from entertainment, offering a fresh and dynamic lens into Nigerian culture.
The show, hosted by the Super Eagles trio, promises a mix of humour, honesty, and bold storytelling. From behind-the-scenes tales to trending moments, it dives into topics like fame, family, identity, and the evolving intersection of sports and entertainment.
Guests lined up for the series include Basketmouth, Bovi, Odumodublvck, Osas Ighodaro, Falz, and VJ Adams, all engaging in candid conversations that reflect the pulse of today’s Nigeria.
Esse Akwawa, CEO of Webek Studios, described the show as more than entertainment. “The Culture League is a reflection of our culture and our generation. We wanted to build a space where footballers, artists, and creatives can speak freely, connect across industries, and inspire the next wave of Nigerian talent,” she said.
Echoing the vision, Edith Nwekenta, Creative Director at Webek Studios, added, “The Culture League brings the flair of the locker room and the honesty of the backstage into one space. It’s the kind of show people want now — real stories, real people, and an unapologetically Nigerian point of view.”
Produced by Webek Studios in partnership with Kini Media Group, the show represents a strong push for bold, relevant, and globally engaging African content.
Webek Studios, a 360 entertainment company, is known for promoting African stories through film, TV, and lifestyle content. With strategic partnerships across the creative sector, the studio continues to redefine how African narratives are told and shared with the world.
