Olakunle Oluoma, speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission for allegedly committing financial crimes. He was picked up at the Murtala Mohammed airport in Lagos today, on Wednesday.
Reports claimed that he had initially declined invitations to an interrogation with the EFCC on different occasions. This could have been the reason the commission had no choice but to have him arrested at the airport in Lagos.

A witness who works at the assembly said he was picked following an alert. The source also said the speaker must have been taken to be probed further on the allegations.
The allegations laid on the speaker are issues edged on the forging of documents and signatures.
The EFCC has however said nothing about the arrest of the Ogun state House of Assembly.
