Speaker House Of Assembly, Anambra, Lauds Gov Obiano On Prudent Management Of Resources – 7th Anniversary

As Governor Willie Obiano marks three years of his second tenure yesterday , the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor said Governor Obiano has distinguished himself among his predecessors through prudent management of the state’s resources and overall development of the state.

 

In his goodwill message to the Governor, Right Honourable Okafor noted that Governor Obiano’s administration has recorded tremendous development in all sectors of the state economy in addition to the unprecedented security, which his government has provided for the citizenry.

 

The Speaker, who maintained that Governor Obiano has uplifted the image of the state and Ndi Anambra by building legacy projects like the International Cargo Airport Umueri, International Conference Centre Awka and the International Stadium Awka among other numerous projects, commended him for winning the heart of the civil servants in the state through regular payment of salaries and pensions.

 

He enjoined politicians in the state irrespective of political party affiliations to give maximum support to the Obiano administration for the peace and progress of the state.

 

Right Honourable Okafor called on various religious bodies in the state to intensify prayers for the peaceful conduct of this year’s governorship election and admonished youths not to allow themselves to be used by desperate politicians to cause trouble during the election.
