Sound issues have led to the postponement of Burna Boy’s concert from September 23 to December 16. Burna Boy replaced the South Africa-based sound team, causing last-minute cancellations, as reported by Sunday World.

As quoted by the newspaper, an inside source explained, “They had a problem with the company that provides their sound. Burna Boy fired them on Monday night and had to bring in another company, which lacks the necessary capacity to handle the show.”

Furthermore, the concert encountered attendance challenges, with suite tickets being discounted by 25% on various online platforms.

In a separate development, Khanya PR and Media Solutions announced their withdrawal from the concert, citing business interests and legal advice in their decision. Their statement reads, “We, as an agency, have chosen to withdraw our services, including PR and social media management. After carefully considering our business interests and consulting with legal experts, we have determined that it’s in the best interests of all parties involved to conclude our role in this event. We extend our good wishes to the organizers in their endeavors, the concert, and their future projects.”

This concert was part of the artist’s Africa tour supporting his successful album “I Told Them, “Marking his return to South Africa after headlining the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival last year. In recent years, Burna Boy has maintained an extensive tour schedule, headlining stadium shows as a prominent feature of his career. In June, this tour included a sold-out show at the 60,000-capacity London Stadium in the UK.
