Sergio Aguero has officially signed with Barcelona FC on a new two-year deal. The striker who just won the Premiere League with club Manchester City will stay at Camp Nou until 2023.
The announcement was made via the club’s official Twitter handle on Monday stating that the striker had reached an agreement and would be joining the club on the expiration of his contract with Manchester City.
Aguero was Manchester City’s all-time goal scorer with 260 goals and has to his credit five league titles, a record six Football League Cups, and an FA Cup. The decision not to renew Aguero’s contract at Manchester City was made known to him by his manager Pep Guardiola, thereafter, his departure from the club was announced at the end of March.

Speaking on playing alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona, “We hope to play together, of course,” he said. He also added, “But what happens with Leo is a decision he will take with the club. It’s a pleasure to play with him. If he stays here, which I think he will, we will give our best for the club to achieve big things.”

Accroding to a statement released by the club it read, “FC Barcelona and Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüerohave reached an agreement for the player to join the Club from 1 July when his contract with Manchester City expires.”
“The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season and his buy-out clause is set at 100 million euros.”
