In a bid to ensure that crime rate is reduced to the barest minimum thereby guaranteeing security in the state, the Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the state command of the Nigerian Immigration Service have reached an agreement to work together.

This revelation was made known in Awka when Comdt David Bille , Commandant of the NSCDC received in audience CIS AD Eche, the Comptroller of Immigration, Anambra State command. Accordingly, the two security bodies vowed to collaborate in fighting crimes through information dissemination and logistics in the state.

As a matter of fact, CIS Eche explained that the need for effective working relationships with sister security agencies towards seamless flow of information among major stakeholders on security issues in the state was what warranted the visit. Furthermore, he said that there was need for the two agencies to put both human resources and logistics together to nip crimes in the bud.

The public relations officer of the NSCDC, Anambra State Command, ASC Edwin Okadigbo, toldĀ THE WHISTLERĀ in Awka that the state commandant of the NSCDC, Comdt David Bille, assured his immigration counterpart of the corpsā€™ readiness to work with the NIS in achieving their common goals, adding that robust cordial relationships existed among all the services in the state, courtesy of Governor Willie Obianoā€™s pragmatic leadership.
