Searching for true love is really hard these days but 2face in his newly released single titled, “Searching” which features legendary musician, Bongos Ikwe assures his fans that it will be worthwhile if they keep searching. It is so beautiful seeing two legendary artists who are generations apart express this beautiful truth in a song.
It’s is not clear what inspired the release of the latest single but remember that 2face had found his “African Queen” over a decade ago (LOL); isn’t it surprising that he is searching years later? 2 Baba has worked well with great musical Icons such as Dr Victor Olaiya in his song, Baby Mi Da and teaming up with Bongos Igwe to do a song only means that it would be nothing less than extraordinary. It has been noted that “His distinctive blend of reggae, R&B and traditional African musical influences creates a vibe that is contemporary and universal while maintaining a clear African identity.”
The soothing voice of legendary musician, Bongos Ikwe breezed into the song singing one of his classics, “Searching”. Hearing this for the first time, several thoughts flashed through my mind; “Is this a remix?” “Gosh! That piano and guitar introduction was just so right – I wanted to listen more. Idoma always sounds beautiful when 2 Baba sings with it. You will agree that without bias 2 face sure knows how to do justice to a good song. Anyone of any generation can listen to this song and feel like the beauty of the song.
