Respondents voted for Glo in the “Most Innovative Network” category owing to its unique products and value-added services such as “Glo Berekete, Glo Café, and friendly recharge and data plans”, organizers of the Beacon of ICT Awards have revealed.
Besides these, the award organizers further disclosed that the company’s remarkable achievements conferred the “Most Reliable Mobile 4G LTE Network” and “Most Innovative Mobile Network of the Year”.

The awards were given at the 13th edition of the event recently held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, with the theme “Impact of Blockchain Technology in a Digitalized Nigeria” during which the potential of Blockchain technology to disrupt digital interaction in the Nigerian economy and society were explored.

Editor-in-Chief of Nigeria Communications Week, organizers of the awards, Mr. Ken Nwogbo, said, “Glo emerged winner in the two categories in an online voting process”.
According to him, ICT stakeholders adjudged Glo mobile as the Largest and Most Reliable Mobile 4G LTE Network because the network is the most consistent data network in Nigeria regarding value and affordability.
He added that the Beacon of ICT Award was instituted 13 years ago to reward the vision and enterprise of individuals and companies that have contributed significantly to the growth of Nigeria’s ICT industry.
