After suffering from stomach cancer, veteran radio DJ and musician Chris Hon has died. He died on Monday morning. “Our dear friend, Chris Ho (X’Ho) passed away peacefully around 4.37am on Monday, September 27.” A post on his Facebook page read. It is believed that he had been battling stomach cancer for two months.
Chris Ho was a radio host, songwriter and recording artist. he was the founder of Zircon lounge, a band formed in the 80’s that is credited with pioneering genres like new wave punk in Singapore. He was also a presenter of the Evening Drivetime Show on Gold 905.
Gold 905 expressed their grief over the loss of one of their own in an Instagram post which read, “No words can express our heartfelt sorrow and he will be dearly missed by GOlD905, Mediacorp and radio family and everyone that knew him. Chris, you will forever be in our hearts.”
