Peter Obi , Vice President candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to use the extra one week of the postponed election as an opportunity to extend the collection of the permanent voters card by the registered voters who have not been able to do so.

He made this appeal while speaking at Onitsha, Anambra state after INEC has announced the postponement of the elections on early hours of saturday morning, speaking about the present national issue, he expressed dissatisfaction and advised Nigerians to be calm and peaceful.

On the argument that the PDP lacked the moral justification to condemn the postponement of elections, Obi said the fact that the elections were postponed in the past should be the reason why it should not happen again, explaining the need for improvements.
