Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has finally broken his long silence over his son, Yul Edochie’s controversial second marriage.
In an interview with Vanguard, the actor revealed that he was not happy about his last son, Yul taking a second wife.
Pete however added that he would not condemn his son for his sinning differently because according to him, King Solomon in the bible had numerous wives and concubines and was still known as a very wise man.
” I didn’t feel good, but like I said I’m a Christian and I read the Bible. Solomon, with 700 wives and 300 concubines, was branded a man of wisdom,” he said.
The veteran actor made it known that no matter what his children do, he is still their father and he does not contest their choices with them.
In his words, “It’s his choice and for whatever reason he decided to take a second wife, that’s all I can say,” he said.
Yul, who has been married to May, the wife of his youth for 17 years, had taken to his social media account to announce that he has taken a second wife.
This came after a controlversial blogger, Gistlover revealed that the actor had impregnated a colleague in the movie industry, Judy Austin and had had a secret wedding with the actress in her hometown.
