As the Agbalanze society election draws nearer, Ozomma Okosi has announced that he is contesting for the post of the President for the group. He aims at protecting the legacy of Agbalanze society as he runs for this post after showing an outstanding record of excellence, hard work and commitment to the society.
In the year 1971, Ozomma had his primary education at Immaculate Heart Primary school. He proceeded to have his secondary education at Metropolitan Secondary School, Onitsha in 1977.
He obtained his OND certificate in Business Administration & Management from the Federal Polytechnic, Ida in 1983 and his HND from the same polyethnic in 1986. He obtained his Postgraduate Diploma (PDG) certificate from the University of Calabar in 2001 and later obtained his Masters Bachelor of Art (MBA) in 2002.
In 2002, he earned the Certified National Accountant (CNA) certificate and also the Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA) in 2012., making him a qualified professional accountant.
Ozomma worked as the assistant town planning officer/ building inspector in Awka, 1978. While serving his country Nigeria through the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), he worked as a teacher in the community secondary school, Ikpot Akpan Eshiet, Cross River State from 1986-1987. From 1987-1988, he worked as a Payroll officer/Executive Officer,Awka L.G.Awka.
At the Staff Pension Board, Awka, he served as an Accountant/Internal Auditor,L.G.System/ from 1988-2002. He was also the Director of Finance/ Treasurer for the LG System, 2002-2013
Positions Held
Ozomma has held several positions while contributing his own quota to development of the Onicha society. He was the Secretary, Ndozika Age Grade Onicha from 1987-1988; Fin,Staff Adviser ,N Union of Government Employee(NULGE) in Ogbaru L.G.Area, 2002; Treasurer, Rotary Club District 9140,,GRA Onicha from 2001-2002; Fin, Secretary, Onicha Improvement Union, Onicha North in 2005; Assistant Sec, Onicha Age Grades Representative Council from 2005-2006.
He has been a member of Agbalanze Cultural Group Onicha Ado since 2001. From 2016 till date, he has served as Fin, Secretary Agbalanze Cultural Group Project Committee Onicha Ado. He is currently the Vice President, Agbalanze Cultural Association Onicha, a position he has held since 2018. He is also the President, Onicha Ado L.G.Workers Welfare Association and has dutifully played his role as President since 2008.
With the goal and mission to protect the legacy of the Agbalanze Society, Onicha Ado, Ozomma Ogbogu Okosi is calling on members of the Agbalanze Society to vote and elect him as the President of the society.
